SCRC Phoenix Run to Sedona 2006
This video was Shot on January 1, 2007 just east of Tortilla Flats
I wanted to ride on January 1, 2007 so I headed out to Canyon Lake, Tortilla Flats and the Twisties all along the way. If you head east of Tortilla Flats you have some really nice twistie roads and eventually you’ll run out of paved road. When I got to the end of the pavement, I met these 4 streetbikers. Since I was in front of them by about 2 minutes, when I came up on a very slow cager in a truck, I wanted to let them know what was ahead because I knew they would be enjoying the downhill run and rompin’ it! I turned around and flagged them to slow when they came by. Really nice guys and 1 of them is heading off to Afghanistan on his first tour of duty. Keep your head down bro! Give em’ hell!
Turn Around at the end of the pavement and come back!
I got to the end of Highway 88's pavement (about 6 miles east of Tortilla Flats)
and turned around for the run back down to the Cafe at Tortilla Flats. Along
the way I had to stop to do up my helmet strap and then again to make sure
the camera was recording.
