The Grand Mesa Ride:

GMR takes place in Grand Junction Colorado.  It had been held for several years but had stopped a few years ago.  The RMS crew  (Rocky Mountain Sabres) who hang out on thesabrehood.org, decided to revive the ride for 2008.  Several of us from Arizona made the trek to Grand Junction to take part. What a great ride!

The Salt River Canyon hugs the canyon walls and provides some breathtaking views as well as some challenges. You MUST be aware of the drivers coming the other way because if they’re going to fast downhill, they may very well end up on your side of the road... it’s a long way down.. Please be attentive and drive carefully!
